Almost international
I had a crazy day yesterday. It started out great. We drove up to Helen to GHAA for the official ribbon cutting of the gallery there. Lunch was served and we all stood behind the ribbon for picture taking. Which was all fine! The trip home was fine. Since it was still early in the afternoon I thought I would work on the little creek pond in the garden. I had a new pump to install.
Well, of course the old tubing didn't fit the new outlet on the new pump! So I take the pump over to my sweet husband in his shop and said, "Dear, can you help me?" He drops what he's doing and proceeds to get out pipe fittings and stuff I don't even know what it is and rigs something up. I take it back to the garden and it still doesn't fit. I had to pull out the tubing(which was what I was trying to avoid) and take it and the pump back to the shop and say again, "Dear, can you help me?". We get it fixed up and I go back the garden and, Yes!!, it fits!! Of course, I can't get the tubing back in the same place it was but, oh well, at least it's running now.
Then I come inside and check my computer and I have a sale! Yipee, And I look at the the state it's going to and it's VI. I'm thinking Virginia and then realize, no, that's not Virginia but Virgin Islands! I know, I know, that's a US territory but I've never sent anything outside the continent. I did ship to Alaska last year but wow, I'm psyched about VI.
So I hear thunder in the distance which is good because we need some rain. I getting off now.

Will the wind ever stop?!
The wind has been blowing for what seems like days. We had a bad storm last night with severe t-storms and sheets of rain falling. Of course, it was in the middle of the night so I got no sleep. I kept waiting and listening for the tornado I just knew was coming. It didn't. Today was cool and 10-20 mph winds all day. I had errands to run and just the time to go to the car and go inside the store was enough to make my head feel like it will explode.
I did some throwing yesterday and Thursday will be a sculpture day. I plan on making some more of my magnolias. We'll be in Helen at the GHAA gallery to help with some landscaping and also demonstrating.
It'll be nice to see old friends there.
I also put this garden treasury together. In my spare time,LOL!

Moving day in the mountains
Yesterday was spent helping move shelves, display boxes and cases from the Heritage center in Tallulah Falls to the new location in Helen. It's amazing the amount of work we got done. But then we are a determined group. My big red Ford F250 was loaded to the max. We made it to the new location in one piece even if we did take it slow! This will be a new set up for the Georgia Heritage Arts Association. I'm really excited about it.
This Sunday we'll go and start setting some of our things up. I'll probably have to consolidate to a smaller area but that just means I'll be more selective. So, hopefully, Jaymi will be ready to open by Oct 28.
I'm making progress on open house for the studio. I've got an ad coming out in the Hometown Neighbor magazine with all the details, Nov. 26 and 27. We doing the Black Friday thing as well as Saturday. I've got all the post cards ready to go out to all my mailing list people. So, Christmas shoppers, bring it on!!
