My daughter and I just got back from our trip to Las Vegas. This is our 4th trip, the 2nd time just the two of us. This time we stayed at the Belagio which is right in the middle of "the Strip" and in walking distance of a lot of other hotels and attractions.
If you've never been to Vegas, it is amazing. It's the one kind of trip that can't be done anywhere else. The hotels are incredible with decor and art, everything over the top! The shopping is fun, too. I'm not so much a shopper but I did come home with a new black, leather......purse. Gotcha!
We walked and walked up and down the strip, stopping at hotels that looked interesting. Stopping in Margaritaville casino and restaurant for a great margarita. Saw some really cool art installations.
We played some slots. Until we found the penny slots, we should have just walked into the casino and thrown our $20 on the floor. But, we found some really good machines that let us play a long time on $20. In the end I was down but my daughter ended up $40 ahead. We had a great steak dinner at one of the restaurants in the hotel. They were fully booked for seating but offered us seating at the bar with full menu. OMG, that was fun and I had one of the best Margaritas I've ever had. Are you getting the feeling I love margaritas? The steak was beef tenderloin and again, OMG, one of the best steaks I've ever had.
Our hotel is the home of the "Fountains of Belagio". On my list of coolest things I ever seen, this is right up there. We first saw it in 1998 and were totally blown away by it.. Water, jetted out of the lake, choreographed to music.
This is the fountain when it's not performing and the view from our room |
